The Generation Homes Monster MTB Challenge is a kids fun mountain Biking event, for children from preschool to year 8, run by the St Patrick's Catholic School PTFA in conjunction with Bike Taupo.
SATURDAY 17th MAY - TIMELINE FOR THE DAY
8.00am – 9.30am Registration open at Craters MTB Park Car Park
9.30am Race briefing
9:45am Contact Energy Mega Monster Start
10:00am Monster Classic Start
10:15am LM Party Planning & Events Mini Monster Start
11:30am Total Sport Micro Monster Mash Start
Prize giving as soon as last rider completed course (Approx. 12 noon)
This event is designed to provide a fun, semi competitive event for children of any biking ability to experience the awesome sport of mountain biking. Every finisher gets a medal, There are trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd boy and girl in each of the three timed courses, and there are a HEAP of spot prizes! Our Micro Monster Mashers all receive a medal. It all takes place at Craters Mountain Bike Park, Taupo.
Entry fee for the three timed events (Mini Monster, Monster Classic and Mega Monster) is $35 until 30 April and then $40 from 1st May until Thursday 15 May at 9pm when online entries close. Payment must be made as part of the online entry. We will be accepting entries on the day if we have any available- from 8.00am - 9.30am and these will be $40, cash only for on the day entries please. Entry fee for the Total Sport Micro Monster Mash is $15 at any time.

Family Discount: Register two or more children on in one booking and receive $5 discount per entry! (Discount only applies to the three timed events- Mini Monster, Monster Classic and Mega Monster)

Taking part is an easy three step process:
1) Enter.
Enter online here. Online entries close Thursday 15th May at 9pm. Entries will be taken on event morning from 8.00am - 9.30am.
2) Register.
Come down to the Craters MTB Carpark (follow the signs on SH1 just north of Taupo) the day of the ride and register. This is where you'll get your race number plate for your bike.
3) Ride!
Finally, get your transponder issued at the timing tent, head to the start area, and let the fun begin and then enjoy receiving your medal at the end of the ride!
